About The Airline

Created in 1967, Air Mauritius helped in connecting Mauritius to the rest of the world.  Air Mauritius operates international and domestic scheduled air services for the carriage of passengers and cargo serving 18 destinations across four continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

Air Mauritius is the national flag carrier of Mauritius and is based in Port Louis, Mauritius. In 2017 the company was the fourth largest carrier in Sub-Saharan Africa and has an established and important reputation in the European, African and Indian Oceanic regions. Indeed, the airline won the World Travel Awards, 'Indian Ocean Leading Airline' prize from 2005 to 2014.

The airline currently operates codeshare agreements with mant local and international airlines including Air France, Air India, Emirates, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Australia.

Current expansion plans include a deal for further Airbus A350-900 and the Airbus A330-900neo, which will give further destination and passenger volume capability to the airline.

In March 2016 Air Mauritius launched its first direct flights to Singapore aimed at improving air connectivity between Mauritius and Singapore to stimulate growth of passenger and cargo traffic between Asia and Africa.

Air Mauritius will be attending Routes Africa this Summer to discuss route development.
