About The Airport

Växjö Småland Airport is the fastest growing and largest international airport in south eastern Sweden. With 17 international destinations in 2023 VXO has more destinations than any other Swedish regional airport.

Naturally located in the centre of the catchment area of over 750 000 people the Airport has a combination of ULCC, full service, domestic as well as charter traffic.

Business traffic is very important with a high density of SMI's as well as larger multinationals in the catchment area such as IKEA, Volvo, GE, Electrolux, Atlas Copco, ABB and many more. Just within the council of Växjö there are over 100 foreign owned companies.
