On October 1, 2021, the aircraft maintenance and repair provider A-Technics (part of the Aeroflot group) opened a new linear station at Sochi International Airport, which became the seventh in the geography of cities where LSTO companies are present.

The station carries out operational maintenance of Boeing 737NG and Airbus A320Family aircraft, has modern material and technical equipment and highly qualified personnel. The station's specialists are certified in categories B1 and B2, and also have other necessary approvals for various types of work. In preparation for the opening of the LSTO, it successfully passed the required audits, as well as the certification of the Russian and Bermuda aviation authorities for compliance with FAP-285 and OTAR Part-145 standards.

- The opening of a new linear station in Sochi was the next stage in the expansion of the company's activities and development of services at off-base airports, thereby increasing the production capacity of A-Technics. I am sure that the personnel of the station, with the high level of professionalism inherent for A-Technics, will fulfill the tasks assigned to them, providing high-quality and timely technical service for the clients of our company, - said Mikhail Korobovich, General Director of A-Technics.

At the initial stage, the station will perform maintenance of Aeroflot Group aircraft. In the near future, A-Technics plans to certify the station according to the standards of the European Aviation Safety Agency EASA, as well as expand the competence for performing operational maintenance on other types of aircraft: Airbus 330, Airbus A350, Boeing 777 and Boeing 747.
As a reminder, apart from Sochi, A-Technics has line stations in Belgorod, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Stavropol and Krasnoyarsk.

Sergey Filippov, Managing Director of Sochi International Airport:
- The opening of a new linear service station will expand the reception of various types of aircraft in Sochi, and the inclusion of wide-body aircraft in servicing will encourage airlines to operate flights on more comfortable aircraft in Sochi. The new station will also provide additional support to the airport in attracting foreign air carriers to flights to Sochi.
