A new passenger route in compliance with health rules

VINCI Airports has implemented health measures deployed at its 45 airports around the world, to guarantee the protection of travelers. In Lyon, everything is ready to welcome passengers:
• Management of flows to reduce the density in the different spaces
• Physical distance in the queues, ensured by the installation of more than 1000 deployed markings on the ground and 200 bands “Seat stop” installed on the seats
• Provision of hydro-alcohol gel terminals: 46 distribution points within Terminal 2
• Installation of nearly300 plexiglass protections in the terminals
•  Reinforcement of cleaning , disinfection and ventilation of the spaces within the airport
•  Deployment of an educational campaign: "Protect us" through 120 screens in the terminals, displays and audio announcements.

Note:
  Each passenger must also present to the airline, before boarding, a sworn statement attesting that they do not have any symptoms of covid-19 infection.
  The wearing of a mask is compulsory for passengers (from 11 years old) at the airport and on the plane.

In addition to these measures, VINCI Airports offers a “ Information point and medical assistance ” in Lyon accessible to passengers and staff of the 200 companies of the airport platform. Airport doctors, firefighters and SSIAP certified prevention officers (fire safety and personal assistance agent) are on call 7 days a week to provide health information and help identify possible symptoms. A teleconsultation system is also offered, with the connection with a doctor within 3 to 4 minutes, first via a teleconsultation suitcase, then soon via a teleconsultation booth.

During the first days of resumption of commercial flights, 5,000 protection kits(mask container, hydro-alcoholic wipes and flyer to raise awareness of safety instructions) are offered free of charge to passengers who are not wearing a mask.

Finally, Lyon Aéroport, as a center of excellence for the customer experience for VINCI Airports , is mobilizing to offer “contactless” services allowing passengers to travel safely with a smooth and fast route: parking with electronic payment and recognition of plate, skip-the-line service, contactless border control, personalized welcome and support or, under test by VINCI Airports teams in Lyon, opening of contactless doors: creation of an opening system for doorwithout touching the handles, made thanks to the 3D printer.

Sustainable mobility: a strong commitment by VINCI Airports and Lyon Aéroport for several years

For many years, Lyon Aéroport has been committed to a sustainable development approach and to controlling the environmental impacts of its activity, in line with the environmental policy led by VINCI Airports.

Despite the crisis,Lyon Aéroport's projects in this area have been continued , in particular those aimed at controlling energy consumption and reducing CO2 emissions , such as the complete deployment of LED lighting or biogas shuttles , less impacting on the environment.Other projects by 2021 are under study, such as the creation of a photovoltaic farm and the development of mobile electrical units on the ground for air conditioning and heating of aircraft (PCA 400Hz) to replace those on board consuming energy. fossil energy.

Lyon Aéroport has set itself major objectives by 2030 : achieve 0 net CO2 emissions, halve the water consumed per passenger and recover all of its waste with the ambition of recycling 60% ( against 30% today).

Lyon Aéroport: a major socio-economic player in its territory

In recent weeks, during containment, the VINCI Airports network has been strongly mobilized, particularly for thetransport of carers and equipment . In Lyon, around twenty freight flights have enabled masks and equipment to be supplied to the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Internationally, on May 8, Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport processed the first flight of the humanitarian airlift launched on the initiative of the EU and major French NGOs, with 75 caregivers and 13 tonnes of equipment, bound for Bangui in the Central African Republic. Another example: in Lyon-Bron, more than 200 flights were operated between March 15 and May 5 to transport Covid-19 patients or caregivers.

With the resumption of regular passenger traffic, Lyon Aéroport pursues its mission to serve its residents and intends to restore the connectivity of the territory to contribute to its economic recovery. According to a study carried out in 2017 by Utopies, Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport creates 5,660 direct jobs (40% of which are local residents), 36,540 jobs supported by airport activity (including 23,840 in the Rhône department ) and generates a GDP of € 1.8 billion in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region.

Tanguy Bertolus, Chairman of the Management Board of Lyon Aéroport, declares: "We are pleased to announce the resumption of commercial flights to 27 destinations today, making it possible to quickly restore the connectivity necessary for our territory for its economic recovery. We work on a daily basis for sustainable mobility through the pursuit of our environmental policy, under the impetus of VINCI Airports, with the ambition of reaching 0 net CO2 emissions by 2030 . "

Cédric Fechter, CEO of Lyon Airport, said:"We are ready to welcome travelers so that their next business or personal trips take place in complete safety. The teams at Lyon Aéroport have made every effort to deploy the necessary health measures, as for the entire VINCI Airports network, and we are all looking forward to meeting our passengers at the airport! "
