Passenger traffic of the Tolmachevo Airport has increased by more than 30%

For three months 2012 the Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo) shows the steady growth of key performance indicators.

In the first quarter the airport served 648,275 passengersthat is 31% higher than last year. Number of passengers on domestic flights totaled 401,874 people (+28%), on international flights - 246 401 people (+36%).

In the first quarter of 2012 the Tolmachevo Airport  served  3949 sorties (12.7%).

The most popular foreign directions in January-March were Bangkok, Phuket (Thailand), Dubai (UAE), Urumqi (China), Hurghada (Egypt). Among the most popular Russian destinations - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Yakutsk.

In March 2012 passenger traffic in the Tolmachevo Airport has increased by 26.7% over the same period last year and reached 225,173 people. On domestic flights were served 139,730 passengers (+22.3%), and on international - 85 443 people (+34.5%).

In March 1418 sorties were carried out, that is 10.6% higher than in 2011.

March 15 the Tolmachevo Airport  and Turkish Airlines have opened a new regular international route  - Istanbul - Novosibirsk. In March were operated 16 flights, with 1619 passengers.

For the first quarter of 2012 handled 5803 tonnes (+40%) of cargo and mail, in March - 2287 tonnes (+37%).

The Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub in the Urals located on key transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity on domestic flights is 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. According to business plan in 2012 The Tolmachevo Airport plans to serve  3,155 thousand passengers that is 14% higher than in 2011.
