Vnukovo Airport in January 2020 increased passenger traffic by 9.1%
According to the results of January 2020, the passenger flow of Vnukovo International Airport amounted to 1 million 650 thousand passengers . Its growth rate compared to the previous year amounted to 9.1%.
Passenger traffic on international airlines (MVL) in January 2020 amounted to 699 thousand passengers, which is 12% more than the same period last year.
The most popular foreign destinations last month were Istanbul, Dubai, Tashkent, Phuket, Milan, Antalya, Goa and Dushanbe. The twenty most popular destinations in January for the first time included London and Rome.
In January, the volume of traffic on domestic airlines amounted to 951 thousand passengers, which is 7.1% more than a year earlier. The most popular domestic destinations in January were St. Petersburg, Sochi, Krasnodar, Makhachkala, Mineralnye Vody, Surgut, Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-Don and Ufa.
In total, in January 2020, Vnukovo International Airport ensured the implementation of 14 thousand take-off and landing operations.
The growth in cargo and mail handling volumes amounted to 11.5% compared to last year. In January, 4.2 thousand tons of cargo and mail were handled.
