Winter season off to strong start at Malta International Airport
Winter schedule featuring 4 new routes and 18 route extensions contributing to November results
November registered an increase of 8.7% in pax movements over the same month last year. In fact, the growth rate for November was one of the strongest year-to-date increases, auguring well for MLA’s strategy of stimulating further traffic growth in the off-peak months.
During November, MLA welcomed 493,201 pax movements due to an increase in both aircraft movements +8.5% and seat capacity +10.1%. SLF for the month stood at 78.1%.
The introduction of the Trieste, Santiago de Compostela, Paphos in Cyprus and Nis in Serbia routes for the winter season contributed just over 10,460 pax movements to total traffic for November.
