Queen Alia International Airport Welcomes First Norwegian Airlines Flight

Launching biweekly flights between Amman and Copenhagen

Amman, May 2018 – Reaffirming Airport International Group’s commitment towards constantly expanding Queen Alia International Airport’s (QAIA) network, the Airport recently welcomed the first Norwegian Airlines flight to QAIA, arriving Tuesday 8 May, 2018 at 10:15 PM, and marking the start of biweekly flights between Amman and Copenhagen. A welcoming ceremony was held, at which the inaugural flight was honored with the customary water salute. Numerous officials were welcomed at the event, including representatives from both Airport International Group and the Jordan Tourism Board.

This step same as part of Airport International Group’s efforts to accommodate a multitude of passenger needs, and introduces yet another previously unserved route, to Copenhagen, Denmark. A move which paves the way for several more Scandinavian destinations, while partnering with one of the largest low-cost carriers globally, as well as one of the world’s fastest-growing airlines. Airport International Group is steadfast in its belief that establishing such diverse routes to new destinations will result in beneficial effects on the Kingdom’s tourism sector, subsequently strengthening the local economy, while providing tourists and citizens alike with more travel options than ever before.
