New Regional Hub Offers Improved Connections

Connections between Inverness and key destinations across the UK have been improved following a milestone agreement by flybe to establish the UK's first regional network hub at Manchester Airport.

Flybe will establish an additional 86 regional point to point connections through the new Manchester hub, with connecting times on some flights as short as 35 minutes.

Flybe operates twice daily flights between Inverness and Manchester on weekdays, and a daily service at weekends.

The agreement will mean improved connections between Inverness and Belfast City, Exeter, Isle of Man and Norwich.

Inverness Airport Manager Graeme Bell said: "This agreement to establish Manchester as a regional hub for flybe is welcome news for passengers flying to and from the Highlands.  It will open up access to the north and provide Highland business and leisure passengers with convenient access to flybe's extensive network from Manchester."

From Manchester, passengers can connect with flybe to 20 UK and international destinations direct from Manchester, including Exter, Newquay, Norwich, Brussels, Milan and Paris.
