Copa returns to Quito and initially offers connections to five destinations in the Americas

On the afternoon of this Friday, August 14, the first Copa Air flight arrived at the Quito International Airport since the COVID-19 pandemic began, as part of the resolution of the Panamanian government to allow international connections operations at the Tocumen International Airport, in the capital of the Central American country. Thus, the list of international airlines operating at Quito airport increases to nine.

Quito is one of the first destinations offered by the airline, with connecting flights to Mexico City, Miami, New York, Sao Paulo and Santiago de Chile. It is important to point out that the Panamanian authorities have not authorized the entry of foreigners to that country, but only connections at the Tocumen airport.

According to information provided by the airline, during the remainder of August until September 13, Copa will fly 2 weekly frequencies to Quito; as of September 14 to 20 it will increase to 3 weekly frequencies and from September 21 to 30 it will expand its offer to 4 weekly frequencies.
