Brisbane's Aboriginal History Greet emphasises that there always has been a strong Aboriginal presence in our city. This tour will take you on a journey that starts long before any European settlement, right through to present day. It traces and highlights our shared social history. Travel from Brisbane City Hall, through the central business district to the City Botanic Gardens.

New Farm Park Riverside CityCycle Greet

Brisbane Cycle Tours

This greet will use CityCycles to travel between two of Brisbane’s most beautiful open green spaces, City Botanic Gardens and New Farm Park. Enjoy riverside views as you cycle along our city’s great bikeways. You’ll start on the bikes in the City Botanic Gardens, pass the iconic Story Bridge and finish at New Farm Park and the historic Brisbane Powerhouse. Then enjoy a relaxing return via CityCat ferry. This route certainly takes advantage of Brisbane’s great riverside precincts and accessible public transport options.

South Bank Riverside CityCycle Greet

Cross over the spectacular solar-powered and internationally-awarded Kurilpa Bridge, enjoying breathtaking views of the river and surrounding mountains. Cycle beside the Gallery of Modern Art and the State Library of Queensland before riding under the Victoria Bridge to the ‘Brisbane’ sign.

South Bank Parklands comprise 17 hectares of lush gardens and lawns lining the southern bank of the river. Continue cycling riverside to the Goodwill Bridge, admiring the bougainvillea-covered Grand Arbour as you go. Glide past the Nepalese Peace Pagoda, parklands’ rainforest, the Wheel of Brisbane, Streets Beach, River Quay and the Queensland Maritime Museum. Return to Kurilpa Bridge via the Queensland University of Technology and North Quay.

Riverside Precincts Walking Greet

Discover the City Botanic Gardens’ historic past as the city’s first farm. A horticultural, historical and educational hub, this precinct has much to discover. Walk along the riverside and through a rainforest to The Cube, one of the world’s largest digital interactive learning and display spaces. Then cross over to another of the city’s great parklands, South Bank, where you will discover a contemporary, edible garden. Finally, cruise past the Kangaroo Point Cliffs as you return to Eagle Street Pier via a CityCat ferry.

The South Bank Parklands is a sprawling 17 hectares, known for its expansive green lawns, towering ficus trees and colourful gardens. It is also home to several of Brisbane’s major cultural institutions such as the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art, State Library of Queensland and Queensland Museum and Sciencentre. You will experience a tranquil walking journey through the parklands, taking in the cultural and entertainment offerings of the precinct.
