Rioja Alavesa is famous around the world for its wines. It is an area with numerous archaeological sites, as well as remains from the Paleolithic, Roman and medieval ages. The urban centre of Laguardia was built at the beginning of the 13th century and is entirely enclosed by walls. We will take a stroll around the city, which is an interesting historic and artistic site. After Laguardia we will visit Baigorri, a modern and innovative winery. Its glass viewpoint is perfect for absorbing the spectacular landscape, the sea vines surroundings the winery and the Cantabrian mountains. In the afternoon we will visit a more familiar and traditional winery, Bodegas Jilaba.
