Victor Vieira Dos Santos

Marketing Director, Embraer Commercial Aviation Asia Pacific

Victor is the Marketing Director at Embraer Commercial Aviation Asia Pacific.

He has been working at Embraer for 15 years. He started as a market analyst in the Market Intelligence Department where he supported the development of regional market understanding for North and Latin America, identifying and developing new business opportunities.

Later he became Senior Strategist primarily responsible for long-term market research, competitive positioning, strategic marketing initiatives and assessment of market demand for current and new products.

Prior to the current position, he was the Head of Market Strategy leading the development, communication and execution for the organization’s global strategic planning.

Victor holds two bachelors, in Business Administration and International Affairs, as well as an MBA from University of Sao Paulo.

Victor lives in Singapore, with his wife and son.

Mayur (Mac) Patel is the Regional Sales Director, JAPAC of OAG Aviation, based in Singapore.


OAG is the leading global provider of digital flight information and provides accurate, timely and actionable information and applications across the travel sector to the world’s airlines, airports, government agencies, aircraft manufacturers, consultancies and travel related companies.


Mr. Patel is responsible for business development and leading the sales organisation in Japan and Asia Pacific for OAG Aviation to provide cutting edge data services to the travel industry.


Prior to joining OAG, he was with Amadeus and IATA overseeing sales of Travel Intelligence products and services in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.


He holds a Bachelor of Business (tourism management major) from University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.

Usha Padhee

Have an experience of working at State and Centre since last 25 years in various capacities. Skilled in Administration, Policy Formulation, Public Finance Management, Public- Private Partnership and negotiating in Bilateral/ multilateral projects. Actively held the consultations with Industry Partners to finalise few important components of comprehensive National Civil Aviation Policy in 2016.  Have significant experience in policy making and can shoulder responsibilities to strategically lead, negotiate and network with Country Governments, Industry Stakeholders, at both national and international levels. . Extensive knowledge about physical and social infrastructure gained from working in the field as well as policy making level in sectors like technical cooperation, Security, development, education, livelihoods, water resources, etc. Vast knowledge about developmental issues. Excellent in project management skills with special emphasis on World Bank/ ADB/ UNDP funded projects. Positive attitude and ability to work hard while maintaining work-life balance. Dinh Viet Son

Deputy Director General, Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam

As a graduate from the Diplomatic Academic, Mr. Son has a dedicated career at the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam from 1992. With the abundance of experience, he has held many important positions such as Head of Airlines Operation Management Division, Head of Aviation Security Division and Director of Northern Airports Authority. He has held the position of Deputy Director General of CAAV since 2015 until now.

Nguyen Quoc Phuong

Executive Vice President, Airports Corporation of Vietnam

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Phuong has a 17-year experience in the civil aviation industry. With a decade of airline experience under his belt at Vietnam Airlines and a three-year tenure as CEO of Jetstar Pacific Airlines, Nguyen Quoc Phuong took the helm of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) as Executive Vice President in early 2020. ACV manages 22 airports across Vietnam, seven of which serve international destinations.

Chen Chuanren

Southeast Asia and China Editor, Aviation Week Network

Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Editor for the Aviation Week Network’s (AWN) Air Transport World (ATW) and the Asia-Pacific Defense Correspondent for AWN, joining the team in 2017. He has closely covered the region since 2013 and is interested in new airline concepts and airport designs in the Asia Pacific region.

Hans Mitterlechner

Director, ASM Australasia

Hans brings 27 years of aviation experience to client projects.  After starting his career in United Airlines’ Network Development department, he joined British Airways to head up the carrier’s network and alliance strategy teams.  He continued in the field of airline co-operation when he was made responsible for joint network development for both British Airways and Qantas based in Sydney.  In 2004, ten years into his aviation career, Hans became Associate Director and the aviation specialist at MAp Airports, one of Macquarie Bank’s listed infrastructure funds.  In this role he advised Aviation Business Development teams at the fund’s full portfolio of airports (Sydney, Rome, Brussels, Copenhagen, Bristol and Birmingham).  From 2008, he shifted his attention to Sydney Airport, where he led the Aviation Business Development team.

Hans has worked on projects as diverse as evaluating new regional routes for United Airlines, re-structuring the joint British Airways / Qantas hub at Singapore Changi Airport to justifying the acquisition of 43 Boeing 777-200 for the British flag carrier. Furthermore, Hans devised the aviation, low cost and incentive strategies for Sydney Airport, redefined the airport’s B2B marketing approach and saw through the service introduction of new international, domestic and regional airlines.

During the past 9 years Hans leveraged his experience in a consulting capacity working with clients throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.  His work focuses primarily on demand forecasting, hub strategies, commercial due diligence, air service development, and the optimisation of aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue generation.  He works for airports, airlines, tourism agencies, infrastructure investors, state governments and financial advisors.

Jayne Davey

Director, ASM Australasia

Jayne brings 26 years of aviation and tourism experience to client projects. Her career started with Virgin Atlantic in London working in the commercial aviation team across revenue management, corporate and leisure sales, pricing, revenue accounting and network planning.  She then joined the launch team at Expedia firstly in London then Sydney, where she was responsible for all airline, hotel and rental car relationships and commercial agreements across Europe and Asia Pacific.

Since moving to Australia Jayne has worked in a variety of roles from GM Distribution and Pricing for a major hotel chain in Australia, to working for the leading wholesale reservations system in Australia helping travel companies get their products to market more successfully.

After setting up an aviation consulting business 8 years ago, three consulting, Jayne now assists airports, airlines, tourism and government organisations as well as large investors throughout Australia and New Zealand, helping to build and analyse route business cases, provide aviation strategies, optimise aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue generation and implement digital strategies to help steer these aviation businesses towards their goals.

Le Hong Ha

President & CEO, Vietnam Airlines

Mr. Ha joined Vietnam Airlines in 1994 and has served as a member of the Board of Directors since August 2020 and as President and CEO of Vietnam Airlines since January 2021.

During his twenty-five years with Vietnam Airlines, he has worked in various divisions, ranging from Operations to Passenger Service, and demonstrated his versatility and leadership.

In his prior role, he was appointed Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines in 2012, after years of holding several essential positions within the organization. In addition, since 2018, Mr. Ha has also been Chairman of the Board of Management of Vietnam Air Petro Company limited (Skypec).

With his extensive experience and numerous contributions over the years, Vietnam Airlines has consistently been one of the most awarded airlines in the region with its unwavering focus on offering the highest-quality products and services.

As President & CEO, Mr. Ha has set specific objectives that focus on air safety and pandemic control; leveraging the recovery momentum of the domestic market to maintain the market share of Vietnam Airlines Group; organizational restructuring and digital technology transformation – a key component of VNA' long term growth plans.

Le Hong Ha was born in 1972 in Hanoi, graduating from the Faculty of Tourism Business Management (currently the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality) of the National Economics University in 1993.

Dang Tat Thang

Chairman & CEO, Bamboo Airways

Dang Tat Thang (born in 1981) graduated with a Master’s degree in Construction and Project Management from Northumbria University (United Kingdom), and is a familiar leader at FLC, Bamboo Airways. At Bamboo Airways, he used to be the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director.

At FLC, he has held the position of Deputy General Director since 2014 and was elected Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of FLC for the term 2021 – 2026 from April 2021.

He has extensive experience in operating and managing many important areas of FLC, especially aviation and investment and project development. Currently, he continues to be in charge of FLC’s investment segment in many key markets, with many projects being researched for investment and legal promotion.

Bamboo Airways, under the direct management of Mr. Dang Tat Thang, has become one of the few airlines to maintain growth in many aspects in the period of 2020 – 2021, despite the influence of other airlines. large-scale outbreak and prolonged isolation period.

Up to now, Bamboo Airways has operated a network of 70 domestic and international routes, transporting nearly 10 million passengers in absolute safety. In 2022, Bamboo Airways aims to expand its flight network to 120 routes, including 80 domestic routes and 40 international routes.

Tara Naidu

Chief of Commercial, Air India Express

Air India Express, India’s first budget international airline commenced operations in April 2005. It operates mainly from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India directly to points in the Middle East and South East Asia.

Ms. Naidu has over 30 years of experience in various roles within the Aviation Industry. Her areas of expertise include Network Planning, Revenue Management, Pricing, System Administration, CRM, Marketing and Sales. She has started many new routes for the airline including during the recent pandemic.

She has previously served as Air India’s Regional Manager for UK and Europe in London and has also worked in the US.

Ms. Tara Naidu has a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and a Master’s degree in Management Studies from Mumbai University.

Chin Leong Teo

Chief Commercial Officer (Aero), Fukuoka International Airport

Teo Chin Leong is Chief Commercial Officer (Aero) at Fukuoka Airport, the 4th largest airport by traffic volume in Japan with 25 million passengers in 2019.

Chin Leong has 20 years of investment, consultancy, operations and regulatory experience in the airport space.

He has led multiple airports to winning Routes marketing awards over the past 15 years, including for Dammam, Vladivostok, and most recently for Fukuoka at Routes Asia 2019.

 He is an alumnus of Stanford University and Cornell University.

Phillip Nguyen

Chief Executive Officer, IPP Travel Retail

As an active person with a creative and innovative mindset, Phillip Nguyen understands that for a business to be successful and trusted by customers, first of all, the trust and commitment of employees is indispensable. His goal for the next 5-10 years is that IPPG will become one of the leading Vietnamese corporations in the domestic retail sector, and the best working environment in Vietnam. Phillip is also a CEO of IPP Travel Retail, in charge of the Non- Aviation Services Business, including duty free stores, retail  stores and commercial advertising at airports.

Steven Small

Brand Director, Routes

An economic development and tourism specialist, Steven’s career has focussed on working with destinations supporting inward investment, tourism and economic development initiative.

Roles in inward investment, specifically site selection and project management, led Steven to the Northwest Regional Development Agency, where he developed a grant to help support regional airports' route development strategies.

As a consultant at Ernst and Young, Steven worked on a number of projects for both private and public sector organisations, including supporting the development of the business plan for Bath City Council. Back in Manchester he joined the city’s inward investment agency, MIDAS, helping attract businesses to the city.

From here, he moved to Marketing Manchester working on a variety of projects including funding packages for Manchester Central - the city’s main convention venue and the new National Football Museum, as well as delivering the route development fund for Manchester Airport. Steven then took on the role of Head of Business Tourism for Visit Manchester, working to attract major new events and conferences to the city.

Steven moved back to his home town of Liverpool as Head of Tourism, working with public and private stakeholders to develop a long term strategy to maximise the explosion of the visitor economy, since the European Capital of Culture in 2008, and ensure the city region continues to improve its offer and grow sustainably.

A move to UBM in February 2017 brought Steven back to route development. As Brand Director, Steven leads a team in the development and delivery of Routes - a portfolio of global events providing a platform for the route development community to negotiate new air services.

A father of two, Steven is a supporter of Everton football club and lives in a village in North Cheshire.
