First 'Invest & Manage Airports' Brings Together Investors and Airports at Pivotal Time

Posted 07/12/2011 - Viewed 3674 time(s)

The first Invest & Manage Airports event will take place in London on 8-9 December 2011, bringing together a wide range of airports, airport operators and infrastructure investors from across the world at a pivotal time.

The event is hosted by the organisers of Routes - The World and Regional Route Development Forums, and follows Routes’ successful format of prescheduled one-to-one meetings.

David Stroud, Executive Vice President Airports at Routes organiser UBM Aviation said: “Invest & Manage Airports is a targeted event occurring at a pivotal time in the current economic environment. More and more governments are seeking ways to improve services from their core infrastructure assets, increase jobs and stimulate trade. They need access to capital and management expertise. Many investors, on the other hand, are looking for long-term investment opportunities in infrastructure assets. We are bringing them together in a unique and innovative way.”

The format of private one-to-one meetings will allow real business to be done between airports seeking investment and management expertise, investors who are looking for airport infrastructure opportunities, and airport operators who are aiming to extend their portfolio of managed assets around the world.

In addition, a programme of targeted Opportunity Briefings will be held which allow airports to present investment or privatisation opportunities, and allow investors to brief a wider industry audience on their objectives and plans.
