Abu-Dhabi based Etihad Airways has announced that it plans to serve the Cypriot city of Larnaca.

The new service will commence in Mid June of this year and will be operated on a 3x weekly basis with A320 aircraft. The new route will be Etihad's third new European route of 2009 following the annoucements of scheduled services to Istanbul and Athens.
