Swiss leisure carrier Edelweiss Air in February 2012 announced long-haul program for Winter 2012/13 season, which sees Tampa service will convert from summer seasonal to year-round. Zurich - Tampa service, due to start 25MAY12, will be operating in winter season once a week after 28OCT12.

Service to Colombo, which was introduced as winter service in 2011, is being cancelled and will not be resumed from 28OCT12. SriLankan Airlines in April 2012 announced it'll be cancelling Zurich - Colombo service from September 2012. (Edelweiss decision was made before SriLankan Airlines' announcement)

Overall frequencies to Maldives remains unchanged at 2 weekly level, however it'll operate Zurich - Male service nonstop in both direction once again.
