The Latest News Ahead of Routes Asia in Mumbai

Routes Asia, now in its 11th year, will see a record number of attendees when the 2013 event opens in Mumbai in two days time. The event will take place at the Renaissance Mumbai Hotel & Convention Centre, hosted by GVK’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) which is managed by Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd. (MIAL).

Almost 160 airline delegates representing 88 of the world’s leading airlines will be present at the event. This is the strongest airline list ever assembled at Routes Asia and carriers from across the entire region will gather in Mumbai to meet with airports, tourism authorities and other industry stakeholders to discuss the future of air service in Asia. Further to this impressive and record breaking list of attending airlines many airports and tourism authorities are also registered to attend. In addition to the Face-to-Face meetings which take place at the core of the event this year’s Route Exchange programme will see senior network planners from four carriers deliver an overview of their route development opportunities and how airports can be part of their airline expansion. The carriers delivering briefings, which are open to all attending airports, are Qantas, Jet Airways, Saudi Airlines Cargo and MEGA Maldives. Additional content will be provided by Tourism Australia and Singapore Tourism Board who will both deliver a destination briefing whilst in Mumbai.
