The Latest News Ahead of Routes Europe in Budapest

Routes Europe, now in its 8thyear, will see a record number of attendees when the 2013 event opens in Budapest in two days time. The event will take place at the Syma Conference Venue, Hungary’s newest and most modern, state-of-the-art multifunctional facility, hosted by Budapest Airport and supported by Hungarian Tourism.

Over 275 airline delegates representing 115 of the world’s leading airlines will be present at the event. This is the strongest airline list ever assembled at Routes Europe and carriers from across the entire region will gather in Budapest to meet with airports, tourism authorities and other industry stakeholders to discuss the future of air service in Europe. Further to this impressive and record breaking list of attending airlines many airports and tourism authorities are also registered to attend. There are currently 467 airport delegates registered to attend representing almost 350 airports from across Europe and beyond which make this year’s event the largest Routes Europe to date.

In addition to the Face-to-Face meetings which take place at the core of the event this year’s Route Exchange programme will see senior network planners from four carriers deliver an overview of their route development opportunities and how airports can be part of their airline expansion. The carriers delivering briefings, which are open to all attending airports, are Lufthansa, Germanwings, easyJet, HOP!/Air France, Air Nostrum, SkyWork Airlines and Darwin Airline.

To keep up to date with everything that’s going on at Routes Europe, attending delegates should download the new and improved Routes Europe App. The App is now available from Google Play and the iTunes App Store and will ensure that all essential information is available at the touch of a button. Along with the floorplan, airline table locations, delegate listings, city guide and social media links, this year’s App also includes an improved event programme area, message wall facility and meeting diary access, for more information click here.
