WORLD ROUTES: Bright Lights of Las Vegas Shine after Successful Forum

Las Vegas is aiming to boost its international visitor numbers from 17 per cent to 30 per cent in the next ten years and plans to expand its representation in overseas markets. Rossi Ranlenkotter, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) said new air services would play a central role in this strategy and the hosting of World Routes this year was a key part of this strategy.

In our exclusive interview at the end of this year’s World Routes event at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Ranlenkotter noted that Las Vegas officials had “very successful” and “progressive” meetings during the event. It has been a great, great convention for all of Las Vegas,” he explained. “

“Being able to bring the Routes convention in has really targeted Las Vegas to all of the [target] carriers,” he added, and joked: “Now we expect them to start flying non-stop tomorrow.”
