Industry Leaders Sign up for Routes Europe Strategy Summit

Taking place on Sunday 12th April 2015 and open to all attending delegates, The Routes Europe Strategy Summit will open Routes Europe in Aberdeen. The Strategy Summit will provide a valuable insight into aviation across the region as panels of leading industry experts take part in a number of moderator led discussions addressing key air service development issues affecting commercial aviation across the European region.

The specially developed content of the event, which will be opened by Carol Benzie, Managing Director of Aberdeen International Airport, and interactive format ensures that the Strategy Summit is a popular element of the event.

Many leading industry experts have already confirmed their participation including: Michael Haendel, Director, Network Planning for the Lufthansa Hub MUC; Jens Boyd, Group Director Long Haul Network and Revenue Management for Thomas Cook Group Airlines; Kam Jandu, Chief Commercial Officer of Budapest Airport; Simon McNamara, Director General of European Regions Airline Association (ERAA); John Hanlon, Director General, ELFAA and Fernando Estrada, Strategy & Alliances Director for Vueling.

Session one, entitled LCCs – the game changers in Europe will comprise of a two part session with the discussions focussing on Low Cost Carriers as Europe’s growth engine and looking at how legacy carriers are competing with LCC growth.

During the second session; Investments Partnerships and Acquisitions...The Changing Skies of Europe the discussion will cover what changes might occur for European airlines in the next five years as well as continuing the debate over flying rights for Middle Eastern carriers.

Routes Europe attracts the industry’s key decision makers and is the must attend event for all those interested in meeting with the industry's key players. The event, which is the annual gathering of air service decision makers for the entire European region, is expected to attract up to 1,300 aviation professionals with representation from 125 airlines, 450 airports and 30 tourism authorities along with a number of other industry stakeholders to discuss air service development.
