Qantas expands China reach with codeshare

Qantas is to expand its China network with a new codeshare on daily China Eastern flights between Shanghai and Chengdu and Xi’an from today (November 12).

Qantas also offers connections to the Chinese mainland from Hong Kong, with 31 return flights a week to Hong Kong from Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

“Growth in both business and leisure travel sees us currently operating 10 flights per week between Australia and China – seven to Shanghai and three to Beijing,” said Rob Gurney group general manager of sales and distribution at Qantas.
