Routes Europe 2016 Marketing Awards shortlist announced

We can now announce which airports and destinations have been nominated to win an award at Routes Europe, receiving industry-wide recognition for their outstanding achievement in route development marketing.

There will be four awards categories comprising of three airport categories, split by size and a destination category for the best destination marketing campaign by a tourism authority.

From the airports and destinations nominated for an award, the following have been shortlisted within each category:

Over 20 million passengers

Copenhagen Airports A/S (CPH)

Munich Airport

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

Vienna International Airport

Sheremetyevo International Airport, Moscow

4-20 million passengers

Athens International Airport S.A. - Eleftherios Venizelos

Budapest Airport

Cologne Bonn Airport | CGN

Prague Airport

Warsaw Chopin Airport

Under 4 million passengers

Chisinau International Airport

City Airport Bremen

Tallinn Airport

Tbilisi International Airport

All shortlisted airports and destinations will now be contacted and asked for a submission to support their nomination. This submission process is designed to enable the shortlisted airports to provide information for the judging panel as to why they think they should win the award, providing evidence to support their case.

The Routes Marketing Awards were created to recognise excellence in airport marketing as voted by airlines. They provide the airline community with the chance to have their say as to which airport they think provides the best overall marketing services to them.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Routes Europe Networking Evening on Monday 25 April 2016.
