Avinor Oslo Airport named 'Best Stand' at World Routes

Avinor Oslo Airport have won the first Best Stand award at World Routes.

The award was created in order to reward creativity and innovation among the exhibitors, allowing the delegates to have their say through the Routes app. As always, the exhibitors went above and beyond with their eye-catching stands. The Norwegian airport beat off stiff competition from the likes of Copenhagen Airport, Air China and Brussels Airport, to name a few.

Avinor Oslo were the talk of the exhibitor hall with their simplistic approach - their stripped back kitchen with exposed beams caught the attention of delegates, but it was the cinnamon buns and salmon that had them staying. The kitchen was a ‘home away from home’ whilst onsite in Chengdu, China, complete with pictures stuck onto the fridge.

Speaking to Routesonline during the event, the Avinor team had been looking forward to the event to expand their network. Their key markets on their radar are Asia and North America, with Norway able to offer a shorter flight time to the States compared to some of the bigger hubs in Europe.
