Revamped live content programme for Routes events

The Strategy Summit, Routes Talks and Route Exchange Briefings have been replaced with an exciting new line-up of live content following feedback from delegates.

The Routes Europe 2017 Live Content Programme sponsored by Embraer will give shorter and more focused sessions that are aligned to their meeting slots. The panel discussions, presentations, interviews and briefings will be spread evenly over the three days of the event.

Routes Exchange Briefings will be replaced by Airlines Live – 20-minute slots for airlines to give presentations about their business. Cathay Pacific, easyJet, Transavia, Germania and Firnas Airways will present to airports and tourism authorities about their route development activities.

A highlight of the event will be a Ryanair interview on the afternoon of Monday, 24 April. Nigel Mayes of the route development consultancy ASM will talk to Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs, about the airline’s ambition to become the ‘future Amazon of air travel’.

The last day of the event on Tuesday, 25 April will see what promises to be a topical presentation about by the Minister for Aviation, Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, followed by a panel discussion on the impact of Brexit on the aviation industry.

Carolyn Burnett, head of live content, said: “We are excited about our new programme of live content, with focused sessions that fit within diary slots and engaging new formats bringing together leaders from across the industry to debate some of the key issues facing the region.”
