Copenhagen outlines next long-haul ambitions

As part of its involvement in World Routes 2017, Routesonline spoke to Copenhagen Airports to hear its route development plans.

What have been your most notable route successes?

Last week we had the pleasure of celebrating the inauguration of Delhi with Air India. Both the route and the carrier are new to CPH. In addition to that, SAS has commenced Miami and Norwegian has commenced Oadkland – both within the last year. And we have more great news! Cathay Pacific has just announced that it will start Hong Kong from March 2018.

What are you next targets for route development?

Two of our previous largest unserved long-haul routes has just been commenced/announced – namely Delhi and Hong Kong. From now on we will start to work on getting routes to Manila, Bali, Colombo, Johannesburg, Seoul, Islamabad, Havana, Seattle, Kuala Lumpur and Cape Town and they are the ones with the highest traffic potential.

What is your main message at World Routes?

Happiness and Danish Hygge! Danes are the happiest nation on earth and we believe that’s why we excel in creating places and experiences that bring inspiration, innovation and efficiency.
