We spoke to Simon Baxendale, Scheduling Manager at Routes, for the latest updates on the meeting request system and what's new at Routes Americas 2018.
Scheduling opened on Wednesday, how is it going so far?
Scheduling so far for Routes Americas has been extremely busy. In the first 12 hours of the system being open we scheduled in well over 300 meetings. I would urge all remaining delegates to submit their requests as soon as possible.
When will the draft diaries be available?
The draft diaries will be published online via the meeting request system from 29 January, as well as receiving a PDF version via email. The draft diary will show you the most up-to-date version of your diary highlighting the meetings that we have managed to secure for you. The diary will be automatically updated once we schedule additional meetings and will be available online up until the week before the event.
How can I find out further information about the On-site Meeting System?
The On-site Meeting System is now in its fourth year and we're pleased with how the Routes universe has embraced this important change. Since the last Routes Americas we have continued to improve the meeting system and will continue to strive for an improved product in 2018.
How many meetings can I request on site?
The On-site Meeting System is open to all delegates, who will be able to request as many meetings as they need while on-site in Quito. Assistance will be available at the Diary Advice Desk should you need any help using the system.
Have you introduced any innovations this year?
After successful trials at Routes Europe and World Routes in 2017, Fast Track is being introduced to Routes Americas this year. Fast Track provides delegates with the opportunity to make quick, five-minute introductions to key decision makers from all attending airlines. Fast Track will take place in the Airline Meeting Hall on Wednesday, February 14th from 14:50 until 15:35.
Routes Americas will take place from 13-15 February in Quito Ecuador, hosted by Quito Turismo and Quiport. Find out more about Routes Americas 2018 or register your place.
