Infographic: The South Australia international growth story

In 2017 South Australia experienced a new record with international visitor spend smashing the A$1bn barrier to hit A$1.15bn.

This has risen from under A$900m just two years earlier, while international visitor numbers grew by more than 13 percent over the same period.

The region, which will host World Routes 2019 when it arrives in Adelaide, is famed for its wine production and cuisine, and boasts excellent weather year-round.

To better understand the source of the region's traffic growth, Routesonline has pulled together some of the key statistics from the region.

Capacity data is all supplied by OAG Aviation using its OAG Schedules Analyser tool. Passenger data is provided by Sabre's Market Intelligence tool.
