The 11th Routes Africa is being hosted by Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), which was established as a result of the decoupling of the existing Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) in line with modern trends in the aviation industry.

Speaking at the opening ceremony to Routes Africa, GACL managing director John Attafuah said Ghana is positioning itself as the "leading hub of choice for aviation in West Africa".

It comes as the country prepares to open its flagship Terminal 3 at Kotoka International Airport, something which Attafuah said would be a "game-changer".
