United to fly SFO-Milwaukee flights in 2020 summer

United Airlines will operate nonstop service between Milwaukee (Wisconsin) and San Francisco (SFO) during the 2020 summer, creating another midwest US connection to United’s SFO gateway.

United will operate the route with a 120-seat Airbus A319. The aircraft will have eight domestic first-class seats and 40 “economy-plus” seats. The seasonal service will operate from June 4 to Sept. 7.

The flight allows passengers in the greater Milwaukee-area to avoid either a drive or train trip to Chicago or a regional connecting flight to get to SFO.

United president-California Janet Lamkin said the service will give Milwaukee customers “one-stop access to all the many other markets we serve from San Francisco.”

Milwaukee Airport director Brian Dranzik said in a statement: “This is a great example of how airlines respond to passenger demand and why it’s important that we all choose to fly from our hometown airport every time we travel.”
