Q&A: How TakeOff North America will aid the region’s recovery

Why is it important for the air service development community in North America to attend TakeOff?

The cooperation and collaboration of network planners from across the region will be key in the industry’s recovery. TakeOff North America 2020 will play a pivotal role in reuniting the domestic air service development community and facilitating the conversations that will accelerate the market’s recovery.

As the first face-to-face industry event to take place since Routes Americas in early February—and the first event focused specifically on the domestic North American air service development marketplace since the last TakeOff event in October 2019—it will provide industry professionals with the opportunity to share and review their latest COVID-related plans and strategies with a qualified audience.

How will the event support the community?

We understand that, in this unusual time, the direct communication between North America’s air service development professionals is vital and much needed to help support the recovery. Over the event’s two business days, with more than 35 available one-to-one meeting slots, the event will provide an efficient platform for attending airline, airport and tourism authority professionals to engage, collaborate and share knowledge about the current state of the market.

The event will also provide unmatched industry insight, with leading experts taking part in an exclusive programme of CEO keynote interviews, airline briefings and gripping panel debates. You’ll hear from key figures, including Sun Country’s CEO Jude Bricker and Frontier’s CEO Barry Biffle as they examine the impact of COVID-19 on the US marketplace and provide valuable insight to help inform your future business strategies.

How will you ensure the safety of delegates at the event amid local restrictions and the COVID-19 pandemic?

The health, safety and wellbeing of our customers and colleagues are paramount. We are committed to ensuring that our events provide delegates not only with an effective platform on which to successfully network with peers, but to do so in a safe and comfortable environment.

Routes benefits from being part of the Informa PLC, one of the largest events businesses in the world. TakeOff North America will be organised in line with Informa’s AllSecure policy, which includes a detailed set of enhanced measures that enable us to provide the highest levels of health and safety. In addition, we will be closely following both the local health and safety guidelines and the Hilton’s CleanStay measures.

TakeOff North America 2020 will take place at the Hilton Denver City Centre in Denver, Colorado on 26-27 October 2020. For more information, or to book your place at the event, visit the event webpage.
