European aviation creates €19.7 billion says report

The aviation sector generated €19.7 billion for the European economy in 2007, a new EU report has revealed.

The study by the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) found
France, Britain and Germany benefiting most where an estimated €12.6 billion was generated by aviation related industries.

The report noted their lead was down to a concentration of aircraft construction and assembly sites within their boundaries and the high frequency of air movements and registered fleets.
