Summer 2010, will see the first scheduled Iceland Express link to Canada. The carrier which operates a fleet of leased aircraft from its sister company Astraeus Airlines, will launch a 2x weekly operation with B757-200 aircraft from Reykjavik to Winnipeg. The annoucement comes fresh from the news that Iceland Express will opearate a scheduled link to New York JFK. There is currently no non stop service from Winnipeg to Reykjavik and indeed Iceland Express will be the first Icelandic carrier to serve Canada.
