Star Alliance memeber, Air China, will increase its scheduled services from its Beijing hub to Vancouver from June 2nd of this year.

Its exising daily frequency will become a 10x weekly service with A330 equipment on the sector. Alliance partner Air Canada will continue to operate a 3x weekly service nonstop from Vancouver with B777 aircraft.

BSP data shows that over 90,000 pax flew between the city pairs from oct 08-09 with Air China the leading carrier in terms of passenger share with 63% of all flown pax.
