Flybe fills lost Birmingham-Glasgow slot

Following the news that bmibaby is to pull its Birmingham-Glasgow winter service on 29th January, flybe has announced that it will be stepping in to fill the void.

Flybe operates up to 78 flights a week between Birmingham and Glasgow using a combination of Bombardier Q400 turboprops and 118-seat Embraer 195s.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer said: “While other airlines unfortunately continue to retrench and cut yet more services, we remain committed to filling as many of these abandoned routes as possible so that business and leisure travellers can still have a wide choice of affordable and convenient options to key destinations."
