Hawaiian Airlines Opens Reservation for Sendai June 2013 Service Launch; Sapporo Increase in Jan 2014

Hawaiian Airlines from 25JUN13 will introduce service to Sendai, its 5th destination in Japan. The airline will operate Honolulu – Sendai – Sapporo – Honolulu routing 3 times a week, with Boeing 767-300ER aircraft (operation to Sapporo will become 1-stop as a result). Reservation for this new service, currently only available via travel agencies, opened on Monday (25MAR13) afternoon, Hawaii time. HA will be the first carrier to operate this route when JAL Group ended its operation on 30SEP03.

In addition, the airline plans to increase service to Sapporo from 3 to 10 weekly from 15JAN14 to 31JAN14 (Japan departure 16JAN14 to 01FEB14). Operational schedule is now appearing in the GDS, but not available for reservation. Further changes remain possible.
