Royal Air Maroc Resumes Brazil Service from late-Dec 2013

Royal Air Maroc is resuming operations to Brazil after 21 years of service suspension, as per 10JUN13 GDS timetable/inventory display. The airline is to operate 3 weekly Casablanca – Sao Paulo operation on board Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. Reservation is now open.

RAM will open service to Brazil nearly 6 weeks earlier than its neighbor rival Air Algerie, which plans 2 weekly A330-200 Algiers – Sao Paulo service from 05FEB14. RAM last operated service to Brazil in December 1992, with 1 weekly Casablanca – Rio de Janeiro on board Boeing 747 or Boeing 747SP. Schedule in Dec 1992:
