Star Alliance member ANA today announced its plan to resume service to Australia, as it prepares to add Tokyo Haneda – Sydney operation, starting 11DEC15. ANA plans to operate this route with Boeing 787-9 aircraft, with reservation expected to open by mid-August 2015.

NH879 HND2210 – 0935+1SYD 789 D
NH880 SYD2130 – 0505+1HND 789 D
NH880 operation begins on 12DEC15.
ANA first launched service to Sydney in October 1987, with 1 weekly Tokyo Narita – Sydney Boeing 747 flight. It served Sydney until early-April 1999 (Osaka Kansai – Sydney from October 1994 to April 1999, Tokyo Narita – Sydney until June 1998). ANA also served Brisbane from October 1994 to April 1999.
