Alitalia Resumes Chile Service from May 2016

Alitalia today opened reservation for planned service resumption to Chile, where it plans to operate Rome – Santiago de Chile route 5 times a week. Boeing 777-200ER will be operating this route, starting 01MAY16.

AZ689 SCL1045 – 0700+1FCO 772 x35

Alitalia last served Santiago de Chile via Buenos Aires in March 1998, with 2 weekly MD11. Flight number was also AZ688/689.


ASM PurpleASM is hosting a special training event in December to mark its 25th anniversary in route development. The two-day event will play host to an impressive line-up of senior airline, airport and Industry speakers around the theme of 'If route development was perfect, what would it look like?'.

  • Leon Verhallen, head of aviation development, Brussels Airport 
  • Laurie Berryman, former meneral manager UK and Ireland, Emirates.
