Turkish Airlines S16 Long-Haul Service Changes as of 20JAN16

Turkish Airlines in recent days has updated planned long-haul operations for summer 2016 season, effective 27MAR16. This includes additional changes to previously planned adjustment. Note all schedules remain subject to change in the coming weeks.

Istanbul Ataturk – Abuja Increase from 5 to 7 weekly
Istanbul Ataturk – Bamako – Niamey – Istanbul Ataturk 2 of 3 weekly flights with 737-900ER replacing existing service in opposite direction
Istanbul Ataturk – Delhi eff 24APR16 777-300ER replaces A330-300, daily
Istanbul Ataturk – Dhaka A330-300 replaces -200 on Day x5 (Day x6 from DAC), daily A330-300 from 29APR16
Istanbul Ataturk – Djibouti – Mogadishu A321 replaces A320, daily service
Istanbul Ataturk – Dubai Boeing 777-300ER replaces A330-300 on following flights

Istanbul Ataturk – Nouakchott – Dakar – Istanbul Ataturk Increase form 6 to 7 weekly
Istanbul Ataturk – Ouagadougou – Bamako – Istanbul Ataturk NEW routing with 2 weekly 737-900ER (Ouagadougou no longer operates in conjunction with Niamey)
Istanbul Ataturk – Tokyo Narita eff 27JUN16 Planned 777-300ER operation from 11JUL16, has been reverted back to 27JUN16. This daily service currently operates with A330-300

Overall Frequency changes for African destinations as a result of routing change include:
Bamako Increase from 3 to 5 weekly
Niamey Reduce from 7 to 3 weekly
Ouagadougou Reduce from 4 to 2 weekly

Airbus A340-300 operation is now extended to 30APR16, based on latest schedule update, including service to Algiers, Jeddah and Madinah.

Istanbul Ataturk – Durban – Cape Town Durban service will become nonstop flight in both direction, replacing 1-stop via Johannesburg. This will extend to Cape Town, with A330-300 4 times a week
