Emirates Initial 2010 Summer Changes

The following is the INITIAL DRAFT CHANGES to Emirates’ 2010 Summer network, as of 15DEC09, originally appeared from FlyerTalk forum post.

Most of the planned changes are pending on operational issues, and government approvals. Details as follows:

New Destinations
5 weekly Tokyo Narita 777-300ER
1 Daily Amsterdam 777-200LR (Day 3 -300ER)

Frequency Increases
Dubai – Seychelles Increase from 5 weekly to Daily (increase on EK705/706, which operates 5 weekly)
Dubai – Colombo – Singapore Increase from 5 weekly to Daily (Originally planned from 01FEB10)

Aircraft Upgrades
Dubai – Accra – Abidjan A340-500 replace -300
Dubai – Athens EK105/106 A340-500 replace 777
Dubai – Beijing EK306/307 777-300ER replace -200LR, EK308/309 A340-500 replace -300
Dubai – Dhaka EK584/585 Day x4 777-300ER replace -200
Dubai – Johannesburg EK765/766 777-300ER replace A340-500
Dubai – Khartoum A340-500 replace A330-200
Dubai – Melbourne – Auckland 777-300ER replace A340-500
Dubai – Moscow Domodedovo EK131/132 A340-500 replace A330-200
Dubai – Nairobi EK721/722 3-class 777-200ER replace A330-200
Dubai – Perth EK424/425 777-200LR replace A340-500

Again, these are initial changes that are not yet fully loaded into the GDS, further changes to aircraft deployment and route development are expected.
