This podcast features an exclusive interview with Barry Biffle recorded live at Take Off North America 2020, which took place in Denver, Colorado.
Biffle discusses how Frontier is managing to weather the storm created by the COVID-19 pandemic and continuing the momentum of 2019.
Frontier Airlines entered 2020 in expansion mode, opening a new training center at its Orlando hub and planning to launch a third base at Miami International and significantly expand its fleet.
In 2019 Frontier was part of an order for 50 A321XLRs placed by Indigo Partners, the US private equity firm that owns Frontier alongside stakes in Wizz Air, JetSmart and Volaris. Eighteen of those XLRs are destined for Frontier, taking its total order book with Airbus to 158 aircraft.
We find out how COVID-19 has affected those plans and what the future holds for the ULCC.
