EVA Air to Debut New Lie-Flat Business Class on New York Route

Taiwan-based EVA Air starting June 2012 is launching new Business Class inflight product, dubbed as "Royal Laurel Class". The Royal Laurel Class features 38 lie-flat business class seats, on board the Boeing 777-300ER. The remaining 14 Boeing 777-300ER will also see product upgrade to the new seat, which costs the airline USD$100 million.
Initially, the airline will operate the new Boeing 777 cabin on Taipei - New York JFK service three times a week.
Planned schedule:
BR032 TPE1905 – 2150JFK 77W 146
BR031 JFK0145 – 0535+1TPE 77W 257
Day 3 from TPE, Day 4 from JFK (effective 18JUN12 Day 23 from TPE, Day 34 from JFK) operates with existing Premium Laurel Business Class Product.
