Austrian to Introduce New Long-Haul Inflight Product

Austrian starting late-December 2012 is gradually introducing new Business Class and Economy Class inflight product on board Boeing 767-300ER and 777-200ER aircraft. Planned service entry for its new re-configured aircraft as follows.

Boeing 767-300ER 214 seats
Business Class 36 Seats (The New Business Class features 9 rows of 1-2-1 configuration. Current Business Class is 6 rows of 2-2-2 or 7 rows of 1-2-1)
Economy Class 178 Seats (No major changes to Economy Class layout)

Planned service entry date:

eff 30DEC12 New York JFK (operation until 30MAR13 as it changes to 777 for Summer season as usual)
eff 03FEB13 Toronto
eff 04FEB13 Washington Dulles
eff 10MAR13 Beijing
eff 14APR13 Delhi

At time this post goes to press, service to Dubai still displays existing configuration

Boeing 777-200ER 308 Seats
Business Class 50 Seats (The New Business Class features configured with 10 rows in staggered 1-2-1 and 2-2-2 configuration. Current Business Class is 7 rows of 2-3-2 layout)
Economy Class 258 Seats (No major changes to Economy Class layout)

eff 31MAR13 New York JFK

Planned service entry date remains subject to change, and last-minute aircraft changes to existing configuration/product is still possible.
