OVERVIEW

Upon the merger that took place on February 28, 2010 between Meridiana and Eurofly, Meridiana fly S.p.A. (IG) is now the second largest airline company in Italy, combining two renowned and historical names in the air transport business.

Meridiana fly, the only Italian company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange (trading code EEZ), can now offer its customers a network comprising both leisure and business destinations in Italy, Europe, Africa, North America and Asia, with a weekly offering of more than 1,500 flights focusing on the five main base airports of Olbia, Milan Malpensa, Verona, Florence and Cagliari.

NETWORK STRATEGY

Meridiana fly has a large domestic and European network, with services to major capital city markets such as Paris (CDG), Amsterdam and London (LGW). The carrier has also developed a network focusing on eastern Europe with scheduled service to Krakow, Chisnau, Pristina and Moscow (DME).

The carrier also has a large African network, largely based around the former Eurofly network with services to markets such as Zanzibar, Sharm El Sheikh and Mombasa, as well as services to Male, Mauritius andColombo, Sri Lanka. These are largely backed by the major Italian tour operator such as Hotelplan.

AIRLINE REQUIREMENTS

At Meridiana fly, we are currently looking to expand our network and are actively encouraging airports to send through their route proposals. We are currently evaluating Summer 2011 & Winter 2011.

We are interested in receiving all information related to catchment economics, including:

  • Historical Traffic Data
  • MIDT Data
  • Population
  • Key Industries
  • Commercial viability studies on selected routes

The markets we would be particularly interested in hearing from would be:
