Registrations for World Routes are flooding in

With the 20th World Route Development forum soon to take place in Chicago, registrations are flooding in from all corners of the globe.

World Routes, which is the essential global gathering for aviation organisations from across all continents, will take place from 20 – 23 September 2014, co hosted by the City of Chicago Department of Aviation and Choose Chicago.

Network Planners and other key decision makers from a wide range of carriers will attend this year’s event, which will bring together over 3000 delegates from airports, airlines, tourism authorities, civil aviation authorities and other industry stakeholders from across the world to discuss air service development globally.

With a little over 8 weeks to go until the event takes place, over 200 airlines from 70 different countries are already registered to attend. These include: LIAT; Jetstar Airways; Transavia; Transavia France and Nouvelair Tunisie. This figure also includes a number of airlines attending World Routes for the first time this year including: EVA Air; Kuwait Airways and WOW Air.

There will be a strong representation from U.S domestic airports at World Routes in Chicago with 40 first time attendees already registered to attend the event including: San Luis Obispo County Airports; Tallahassee Regional Airport and Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport.

Face-to-Face meetings form the core of all Routes events and so far over 3500 meetings have been scheduled. Make sure you request your meetings as soon as possible to ensure they don’t miss the opportunity to meet with your target airlines. Our programme of Route Exchange Airline Briefings also continues to grow with now sixteen different airlines scheduled to deliver a briefing at this year’s event. Air Canada and JetBlue are the latest airlines to confirm that they will deliver a Route Exchange Briefing in Chicago. Open exclusively to airport and tourism authority delegates, Routes Exchange Airline Briefings offer delegates the opportunity to gain an insight into their target & current airline partners' business. Places can be scheduled in any of the Routes Exchange Briefings online through our meetings request system. Places at the briefings are limited so ensure you request your place at the earliest possible date to avoid disappointment.

2014 will see World Routes return to the US for the second year in a row after last year’s event, which was the first time any Routes event had taken place in the country.  The 20th anniversary event will be held at McCormick Place, the largest convention facility in the Western Hemisphere.  With the most diverse economy in the United States, and home to several of the aviation industry’s leading companies, Chicago makes the perfect home for the 20th World Route Development Forum.
