Taoyuan seeks to improve network diversity

What have been your most notable route successes?

In past four years, several international flag carries started new services to TPE including Emirates, United Airlines and Turkish which pay more attention to TPE’s market and geological advantages. In addition, China Airlines has recommenced flights to London last year. Air New Zealand and Royal Brunei Airlines will be resuming its scheduled non-stop services to Taipei in this winter, following the return of Air Canada and Air France.

What are you next targets for route development?

Our short-term aim is to improve network diversity, targeting at new connections to secondary cities in Asia region and strengthening connections to top-tier cities in Australia and United States. Our long-term goal is to develop more long-haul routes in our gap market, such as Europe, Middle East and South Asia, and also increase transfer traffic.

What is your main message at World Routes?

Taoyuan International Airport is the largest airport in Taiwan and the main international gateway to the country. We welcome all participants to visit our stand, and enjoy the unique culture and vivid images of Taiwan.
