Sky Georgia is to link Georgia with Budapest for the first time with the launch of weekly flights between Budapest Ferihegy and the Georgian capital Tbilisi.

The service will be operated with a DC9 from mid-December and will make Ferihegy the first EU gateway for Georgian passengers travelling on to destinations in Europe.

“We welcome Sky Georgia to Ferihegy,” said Budapest Airport business development director, Dimitrios Gatsonis, “We are especially delighted that, in co-operation with the Georgian airline, we have managed to open an aerial gateway to a new region. We see great potential in the Eastern European markets.”
