Virgin America goes to Boston

Virgin America has announced it will begin services from Boston to California in February.

There will be two daily round-trip flights between San Francisco and Boston, a route currently dominated by United Airlines, and three round-trips between Los Angeles and Boston, the airline said.

"Virgin America will get market share from United, which has not invested in its product," said Henry Harteveldt, an airline analyst at Forrester Research, "Virgin America is very fresh. It appeals to the next generation of air traveller with use of technology, that will resonate with that base of customers," he added.
