Routes Americas 2012
Nassau & Paradise Island - 19 February 2012 to 21 February 2012
Uniting the Americas in One Event
The 5th Routes Americas took place on 19-21 February 2012 on Nassau, Paradise Island, The Bahamas and was hosted by Nassau Airport Development Company.
Here's what some of the 2012 delegates said about the event in Nassau;
"For a growing pan-Americas airline like WestJet, Routes Americas has been an efficient one-stop venue to learn of new opportunities, get update on markets, and exchange ideas with current and new airport partners. The holistic approach of involving tourism and other stakeholders makes the event of key relevance." Arik De, Manager Network Planning, WestJet Airlines
"Routes Americas 2012 was an exceptional opportunity for making business in the tourism industry. The seniority of the participants, the quality of the lectures and panels in parallel to the outstanding organization of the event created an extremely positive atmosphere for the development of business." Maurício Emboaba Moreira, Ph.D., Senior Strategic Advisor, Gol Transportes Aéreos
"Routes Americas turned out to be even more successful than expected. As you know, I sat in on the meetings with Steve Belleme from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. We had excellent meetings, which will generate new air service into FLL and will of course create hotel and tourism demand which translate into a huge economic impact to the local economy. I thank the Routes Team for arranging such great events that now allow destinations to be part of the general aviation offer."Alfredo Gonzalez, Vice President of Tourism & International Business, Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau
"I have always considered Routes to be an effective, efficient and well-organized means of meeting with decision makers from the Planning departments of the world's airlines in order to make the business case for new/expanded air service." Yil Surehan, Director, Airline Route Development, Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), Boston Logan International Airport
"I was honored to be asked to speak (at Routes Americas) and hope that my contribution, while very brief, made a difference in the session. I had a lot of positive feedback after the forum and subsequently have been asked by CAH Columbia to work with them on their airport - government relations. I believe that Routes has an excellent opportunity to continue to engage government and destination officials like myself in your conferences" Kristi Wenaus, Director, Sales & Partnerships, A/Director of Marketing, Nova Scotia Department of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism Division
"(Routes Americas) has been a success. Congratulations" Patrick Baudis, Vice President Marketing, Latin America & Caribbean, AIRBUS AMERICAS
