Red Sea International Airport launches first-ever direct flights from Europe with beOnd
Red Sea, Saudi Arabia – November 2025: Red Sea International Airport (RSI), operated by daa International, has announced its first-ever direct connection to Europe with the launch of premium leisure carrier beOnd’s twice-weekly Milan–Red Sea flights, starting 12 November 2025.
This milestone marks the first direct air link between Europe and The Red Sea and AMAALA destinations in Saudi Arabia, opening a new corridor for European travellers to access the Kingdom’s flagship luxury and regenerative tourism hub.
The route underscores RSI’s growing role as a gateway for international premium leisure travel, aligning with the destination’s sustainability and carrying-capacity principles. Strategically located on Saudi Arabia’s west coast, RSI is within short reach of major European cities, supporting future network expansion across the continent.
Andrew Tyler-Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Red Sea International Airport, said: “This launch is more than a new route – it is Europe’s first direct door to The Red Sea and AMAALA. It advances RSI’s mandate to build selective, high-quality international access while protecting the destination’s carrying capacity. This proves RSI can attract and sustain premium leisure demand on non-stop European services – and also positions us to scale into additional hubs. All this while maintaining the environmental and operational discipline that defines this airport.”

Operating an all–lie-flat A320 aircraft, beOnd is the world’s first premium leisure airline, offering a high-comfort, direct service designed for European leisure travellers. Milan was selected as the launch city for its strong luxury and outbound travel profile, with scope for expansion into other European markets as awareness of The Red Sea continues to grow.
The launch is supported by aviation and tourism stakeholders in both Saudi Arabia and Italy, reflecting rising European interest in the Red Sea region and RSI’s role as the dedicated international gateway to one of the world’s most pristine coastlines.
